Hot Tenting In Alaska Winter Using Homemade Tent And Stove
|Connie And I head into Alaska’s backcountry to do some camping during the coldest month of the year using a homemade wood stove to heat our homemade tent. We enjoyed sharing another adventure together.
BANNOCK RECIPE
1 Cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp Powdered milk
add enough water to make a stiff dough and fry in butter or bacon grease until golden brown.

Dry Gravy Mix Recipe
MY GRAVY MIX

Ingredients
3 Tbsp beef or chicken granules
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp celery seed
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 c flour
Directions
1. run all ingredients (except flour) through food processor until thoroughly mixed. Add flour and mix until well incorporated. Store in an appropriate container.
2. To make gravy, mix 2 Tablespoons of gravy mix with 1 cup water or milk, whisk while heating until smooth. Heat until boiling. Serve warm!
