Classic Boy Scout Axe Sharpening Trick

This is a classic technique for sharpening your axe or hatchet when you’re in the wilderness. Using simple materials that you can source from the environment around you and a couple of items that you pack with you, it’s an easy way to effectively put a keen edge on your cutting tool. While this is still taught to some Boy Scout troops, not everyone knows this technique and it is certainly useful to the Bushcrafter or survival minded person.
